Volunteers
Having a loved one taken hostage can be a traumatic and immensely disruptive for the family and friends. Everyday tasks such as grocery shopping, childcare, work, or studies, can become very difficult. In addition, the family and friends may face new responsibilities and challenges, such as dealing with employers, or government officials, lawyers, or financial managers.
Hostage UK helps families and friends of kidnap victims by trying to provide them with a local contact who can offer some companionship, or administrative or domestic assistance, or help them make contact with local support services. Being able to work with someone in the area, and knowing there is someone nearby who is on their side, is a real help.

If you are someone with an interest in pastoral or community work, and would be willing to spare a couple of hours a week to help a local family, we would love to hear from you and include you in our Volunteers network. Please contact us.
