Research
Hostage UK draws on the experience and expertise of our Trustees, Members, Principal Advisors, Staff and the families we work with to improve understanding of the human dimensions of kidnapping and to campaign for improved government and organisational policy and practice. We seek to identify and advocate for:
  • The needs of families, both during and after the kidnap;
  • The need of the hostage following release;
  • The needs of colleagues, and those senior colleagues on the crisis management team;
  • Effective policies and practices by governments and employers in their handling of kidnaps and the support they provide after the resolution of the case.

    If you have produced research on or related to kidnapping that you would like to share via our website, please contact us.
