Family Network
Having a loved one taken hostage is a frightening and confusing experience that can be difficult to share. This can lead to a sense of isolation and loss of trust in others, both during the kidnap and afterwards. It can also be difficult for the wider circle of family and friends to know how to help.
Hostage UK helps the families of hostages by co-ordinating a support network of families who have been through a kidnap themselves. Families tend to benefit and get enormous comfort from sharing experiences, advising one another, and having someone listen who understands what they are going through. This might involve personal visits, or just a chat on the phone every so often, depending on what you can offer and the needs of the family.

If you would like to join our family support network to offer mutual advice and support to others going through this difficult experience, please contact us.
