Introduction
Hostage UK runs a regular programme of seminars and workshops on the human dynamics of kidnapping. Aimed at security, human resources and communications managers within companies, non-governmental bodies and the voluntary sector, event participants:
  • Hear from former hostages about their experiences during and after release;
  • Hear from family members about the support they need during a kidnap;
  • Receive briefings on the latest kidnapping trends from around the world;
  • Hear about how different organisations manage the risks, and how they have responded to cases;
  • Get information about how Government agencies can support;
  • Receive practical information to help improve their own plans and responses to kidnapping.
These events are addressed by leading experts, such as Terry Waite, Sir David Veness, Professor Gordon Turnbull, Dr Lesley Perman-Kerr, and Suzanne Williams QPM, as well as representatives from Government departments, the Police, and former hostages and their families.

Here are some comments from attendees:

“An excellent day with a knowledgeable set of people to discuss the subject with, and brilliant for networking”

“Great value to me personally”
